There were 37,345 students enrolled in St. Tammany Parish School District schools in the 2021-22 school year, 0.4% less than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Out of the total students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51.5% of them were boys, and 48.5% were girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, representing 64.5% of the St. Tammany Parish School District total enrollment.

St. Tammany Parish School District covers approximately 55 schools within St. Tammany Parish, with its main office in Covington.

Among the 55 schools in St. Tammany Parish School District, Mandeville High School recorded the highest enrollment of 2,119 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The majority of Louisiana students were identified as white and Black, representing 48% and 37% of the state student body respectively during the 2021-22 academic year. Hispanic students made up 8.6% of the student body, and other ethnic minorities made up 5.6%.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
