We will be meeting both in person and via Zoom. Register for the event, and you will receive a link to the Zoom meeting the day of the event. If you have questions, please email covington@stpl.us.

Our chosen book with serve as our theme for the meeting, we will talk about other book series with a similar theme as well as the recipes, crafts, and more included in many cozies.

This month we will be reading: Deadly Summer Nights by Vicki Delany

What is a cozy mystery? The crime-solver is an amateur sleuth, who eavesdrops, gathers clues, and uses their native intelligence and knowledge of their community to solve the crime.

Cozy mysteries are generally considered “gentle” books and most have no graphic violence.

  • The setting is often a small town full of colorful characters.
  • Series frequently have a prominent thematic element introduced by the detective's job, pet, or hobby.
  • These books are plot and character driven with an emphasis on solving puzzles rather than suspense.
