METAIRIE, La.— House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.) has declared a shift in the House legislative schedule for the upcoming week in response to Iran's recent attack on Israel. Scalise stated, “In light of Iran’s unjustified attack on Israel, the House will move from its previously announced legislative schedule next week to instead consider legislation that supports our ally Israel and holds Iran and its terrorist proxies accountable."

Emphasizing the solidarity between the House of Representatives and Israel, Scalise asserted, “The House of Representatives stands strongly with Israel, and there must be consequences for this unprovoked attack."

Scalise also mentioned that further information regarding the legislative items to be discussed would be provided in the near future, stating, “More details on the legislative items to be considered will be forthcoming."
