House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.) made an appearance on Fox News' Fox & Friends to discuss several key issues. Firstly, Scalise updated viewers on his return to Congress after successfully undergoing cancer treatment. He expressed his gratitude for the successful treatment and his excitement to be back in action. Scalise stated, "I feel great, Brian. It's great to be back here. It's great to be with you."

Moving on to the recent impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas, Scalise emphasized the importance of holding him accountable for his failure to secure the American border. He criticized Mayorkas for misleading Congress and the American people regarding the state of border security. Scalise said, "And the guy who's the number one person in the country who's tasked with securing America's border is Secretary Mayorkas, and he's failed miserably. And in fact, when he's come to Congress, he's misled, lied under oath, saying the border is secure when everybody in America knows it's not."

Scalise further discussed the House Republicans' efforts to address border security by passing a bill, H.R. 2, aimed at securing the border. He highlighted the importance of this issue to the American people and their desire for a secure border. Scalise stated, "If the president doesn't want to do it and the secretary doesn't want to do it, and even if the Senate doesn't care about it, the American people care about it, Brian. They're sick and tired of every community in America being a border town."

Regarding the recent special election in New York, Scalise acknowledged the disappointment of the loss but recognized the unique nature of special elections and the different turnout model they entail. While reflecting on the district's voting history, Scalise expressed confidence in winning back the seat in the November elections, saying, "We had a great candidate. We're going to come back in November and win that seat back."

The discussion also touched upon the House Oversight Committee's interview with Tony Bobulinski, a former business associate of Hunter Biden. Scalise highlighted the importance of Bobulinski's testimony in shedding light on the Biden family's alleged corrupt schemes. Scalise noted, "Having somebody like Bobulinski, who was there, who was business partners with Hunter Biden, but also watched the flow of the money – you know, again, follow the money."

Scalise concluded by emphasizing the significance of uncovering the facts and ensuring that the truth is revealed. He praised Bobulinski for his willingness to provide valuable insights and information, saying, "He's helping us get those facts out because he was there."

In summary, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise discussed his successful cancer treatment, the impeachment of Secretary Mayorkas, the special election in New York, and the House Oversight Committee's interview with Tony Bobulinski. Scalise emphasized the importance of border security, accountability, and transparency in government actions.
