He expressed his dislike for omnibus bills, which are often rushed and filled with provisions that are not thoroughly reviewed. Scalise praised Speaker Johnson's decision to negotiate pushing the bill into January, allowing for more time to focus on appropriations bills and address the Biden Administration's regulations that are impacting jobs and raising costs for families. He mentioned that the fight for border security would take place in January.
