There were 1,689 ninth grade students enrolled in Tangipahoa Parish schools in the 2021-22 school year, 0.8% more than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Ponchatoula High School welcomed the most ninth grade students in the parish.

Within Tangipahoa Parish schools, the most students were found in ninth grade classes, while 12th grade classes were the smallest.

Statewide, Tangipahoa Parish ranked 13th highest in enrollment numbers. It was ranked 14th highest the year before.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
