House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.) appeared on Fox News' The Ingraham Angle to discuss the recent terrorist attack in New Orleans. He stressed the importance of transparency from the Department of Justice and FBI during the investigation. Scalise expressed his condolences to those affected by the incident, including victims, their families, and police officers involved.

Scalise mentioned that there are reportedly four individuals at large who were responsible for placing IEDs in various parts of the French Quarter. He commended the decision to postpone a football game scheduled in New Orleans as authorities continue their investigation. Scalise highlighted the resilience of New Orleans residents, referencing their past recovery efforts after Hurricane Katrina.

He emphasized that accurate information is crucial, criticizing premature statements by the FBI labeling it not a terrorist attack. "Let's use facts," he stated, urging full disclosure throughout the process.

Scalise also commented on law enforcement's response, noting an ISIS flag found in a suspect's vehicle. He praised Governor Landry for his prompt support and coordination with Mayor LaToya Cantrell and other agencies involved. Scalise called for honest communication with the public about any findings related to potential threats stemming from border security concerns.
