House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.) appeared on Fox News' "Life, Liberty & Levin" to discuss the internal conflicts within the Democratic Party. Scalise criticized party leaders for invalidating the primary votes of 14 million people and removing President Joe Biden from the ballot to install their preferred candidate.

Scalise highlighted what he perceives as a stark contrast between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. He attributed various failures to Harris, including high inflation, border crises, and global instability.

“Well Mark, great to be with you. And frankly, I think it's very telling that the leaders of the Democrat Party who are really behind this coup of Joe Biden – it started with Obama, Pelosi, and Schumer – they have not endorsed Kamala," said Scalise. "And so I really think there might still be a Michelle Obama play that they're working on behind the scenes."

Scalise further accused Democratic leaders of disrespecting their voters: “These people have no respect for their own voters. We've already seen that. As they lecture you and I on democracy, they literally just trashed 14 million Democrat primary voters who went to the polls to pick Joe Biden.”

Regarding Harris's political history, Scalise noted her lack of success in previous elections: “Kamala... is out there as a trial balloon. And as we saw before when she ran for president... she never won any primary.”

Scalise also criticized Harris's record as Vice President: “Look at so many other things she did – crime is out of control... She raised money to bail people out of jail... That's her record.”

On the subject of Democratic leadership decisions, Scalise stated: “Yeah, I don't think they went through this entire coup... They've all known just like we knew... that Joe Biden was in cognitive decline.” He suggested that party bosses were primarily motivated by maintaining power rather than addressing policy issues.

Scalise concluded by contrasting Republican-led states with those governed by Democrats: “The people that have been around in Democrat politics that have achieved high levels... go look at their states. Their states are in disarray.” He argued that Republican governance has led to better outcomes and greater migration into Republican-run states.

“They really don't [have a strong bench],” said Scalise about potential Democratic candidates against Trump. He emphasized Trump's achievements during his presidency and suggested these would resonate more with American voters compared to current Democratic policies.
