Census Bureau: 76% of people in St. Tammany Parish were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 262,799 citizens living in St. Tammany Parish in 2021, 76% were old enough to vote, equating to 199,684 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 96,247 were male, constituting 48.2%, and 103,437 were female, making up 51.8%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in St. Tammany Parish during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 76.4%.
