Three arrested after drugs and firearms found during Mandeville-area traffic stop

The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office announced on May 4 that a recent traffic stop near Mandeville led to the seizure of illegal drugs, firearms, and cash, resulting in three arrests.

According to the sheriff’s office, detectives from the Proactive Enforcement Unit stopped a gray 2003 Volkswagen Passat on April 30. A search of the vehicle uncovered approximately 271 Tapentadol tablets, one marijuana blunt, two 9mm pistols, and $1,053 in cash.

Three individuals were taken into custody following the discovery. Ryan Brown was arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center for several charges including possession with intent to distribute Schedule II controlled dangerous substances (CDS), possession of Schedule I CDS, transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses, illegal possession of a firearm in the presence of CDS, obscured windshield, and no motor vehicle inspection sticker.

Jacori Blair and Kylen Williams were also arrested and booked into the correctional center for possession with intent to distribute Schedule II CDS and illegal possession of a firearm in the presence of CDS.

The sheriff’s office did not release further details about any ongoing investigation or court proceedings related to these arrests.
