House Majority Leader Steve Scalise recently appeared on Fox Business Network to stress the urgency of passing the amended budget resolution. The resolution seeks to align with President Trump's agenda by cutting wasteful spending, increasing economic growth through tax cuts, and enhancing American energy production. Scalise emphasized the need for swift action, stating, "We can't wait two more months for the Senate... The market sure can't wait. The economy can't wait."

Scalise pointed out that this budget resolution ties closely with President Trump's objectives for fair trade and ongoing negotiations with foreign nations. He expressed concern about the Senate's slower progress compared to the House, noting, "The Senate is far behind us right now."

The House Majority Leader also highlighted the timeline for advancing President Trump's agenda, which includes securing border funding and potential deportations. "President Trump needs the money for border security," Scalise mentioned.

Scalise discussed the critical aspects of the budget bill, saying, "It's not just locking in the tax rates; it's border security, it's energy production for America."

When asked about Congress's role in President Trump's tariff decisions, Scalise stated, "This is a healthy debate... But President Trump said... trust me on this, there will be some short-term pain, but long-term, we're going to get fair trade."

Regarding economic growth, Scalise urged colleagues to act swiftly, warning, "There is a lot of pent-up...economic growth waiting to see if there's going to be tax certainty."

Finally, on American energy production, Scalise conveyed, "We are going to continue to produce more energy, and that's in this one big, beautiful bill."
