House Majority Leader Steve Scalise emphasized the urgency of passing the budget resolution to support President Trump's agenda. Speaking alongside Speaker Mike Johnson, House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, and Conference Chairwoman Lisa McClain, Scalise highlighted the necessity of moving ahead to ensure permanence in tax cuts and provide stability for families and businesses.

Scalise underscored the collective commitment of House Republicans to the objectives outlined by President Trump. "We all know what President Trump said at his rallies," he stated. He emphasized the need to follow through on commitments such as border security, energy production, and regulatory control.

Addressing the budget resolution, Scalise pointed out that questions from members were not unusual in dealing with significant legislation. "There are members that have questions – that's not a surprise," he said. He stressed the importance of pressing forward with the reconciliation process, noting that delays could hinder progress.

"The country can't afford for us to delay a month or longer to wait on the Senate getting where we are," Scalise warned, urging timely action to stabilize the tax code and advance the administration's agenda. He highlighted the economic impact of uncertainty, stating that trillions of dollars are waiting on Congress to stabilize the tax code.

Scalise called for a united Congressional effort, asserting that while the President is committed, legislative action from both the House and Senate is required. "We're going to continue working through that process, but we can't stop the advancement of our agenda," he noted, reiterating the commitment of House Republicans to economic turnaround.
