House Majority Leader Steve Scalise appeared on Fox Business Network's Kudlow to discuss the Republican tax agenda and President Trump's economic policies. During the interview, Scalise highlighted the administration's focus on energy and border policies, cutting wasteful spending and regulations, and preventing tax increases.

Scalise criticized the Biden administration for a lack of transparency on national security issues. He stated, “Not much beyond what you've mentioned [on the drones flying over New Jersey], but it does harken back to the Chinese spy balloon when we were lied to.” Scalise expressed concerns about China's aggressive actions and called for more candid information from the administration.

Regarding drones over New Jersey, Scalise commented humorously but stressed its seriousness: “Well, they need to escape from [Governor Phil Murphy's] socialism, Larry...But this is our national security that's at risk. So it's not a joke.”

Discussing reconciliation talks before Trump's presidency begins, Scalise emphasized alignment with Trump: “We're going to do great energy policy that you will love...ensuring there's no massive tax increase.” He referred to discussions on legislative approaches without major disagreements among Republicans.

On Trump's Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, Scalise praised its impact: “It was caught. It won the game. It transformed America's economy." He urged for locking in tax cuts set to expire next year to continue economic growth.

He also addressed future plans for tax cuts: "As early as we can, it helps boost the economy...Let's go get these big wins for the American people."

Scalise reiterated that securing these measures within Congress is crucial due to tight margins and aims for significant reforms benefiting families in the first 100 days of Trump's administration.
