Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Vanguard College of Cosmetology-Slidell

Tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Vanguard College of Cosmetology-Slidell, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Louisiana students paid $16,550 to attend the private for-profit school in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Data shows 79 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 16 students received grants or scholarships totaling $81,878 and 18 students took out student loans totaling more than $149,410.

Including all undergraduates (116), 99 students used grants or scholarships totaling $519,851, and 88 students took out $744,432 in federal student loans.
