House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.) issued a statement summarizing the achievements of House Republicans in support of President Trump’s America First agenda during his first 100 days in office. Scalise praised the administration’s efforts, stating, “Just 100 days into his second term, President Trump has already taken historic action at a whirlwind pace to turn our country around.”
Scalise highlighted key legislative actions by House Republicans, including the passage of the Laken Riley Act and the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act. He emphasized their focus on securing borders, enhancing domestic energy production, and promoting job growth.
The statement also addressed measures aimed at overturning regulations from the previous administration. Scalise noted that “House Republicans have passed 10 CRAs overturning costly and unnecessary regulations from the Biden Administration.”
Further legislative efforts include acts such as H.R. 29 – Laken Riley Act and H.R. 30 – Preventing Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act. These acts focus on border security and deportation policies.
In addition to domestic policies, foreign relations were addressed through bills like H.R. 23 – Illegitimate Court Counteraction Act and H.R. 1048 – DETERRENT Act.
Other significant legislation includes S.J. Res. 11 related to marine archaeological resources and various Consumer Financial Protection Acts reversing rules set by the previous administration.
Scalise concluded with optimism about future legislative goals: “We are currently drafting one of the most consequential pieces of legislation in history in one big, beautiful bill that will deliver on President Trump’s full agenda.”
