The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office announced on Apr. 15 that a coordinated narcotics investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies led to the arrest of a Slidell man and the confiscation of illegal drugs, firearms, and cash.

Authorities said the operation was conducted by detectives from the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division working with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, Louisiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division, and the FBI New Orleans Gang Task Force. The investigation began after Jefferson Parish detectives identified an individual suspected of distributing large amounts of cocaine throughout Orleans and Jefferson parishes.

The suspect was identified as Christopher Miles, a resident of Slidell. Law enforcement officials executed simultaneous search warrants across St. Tammany, Jefferson, and Orleans parishes as part of their coordinated efforts. Detectives from St. Tammany located Miles at his home in the 1500 block of Kings Row during their search warrant execution and took him into custody.

During the search at Miles’ residence, officers reported seizing three firearms, $6,318 in U.S. currency, about 10 ounces of cocaine, 2.6 grams of crack cocaine, 14.2 grams of marijuana, thirteen dosage units of hydrocodone, one dosage unit of diethylpropion, and various items classified as drug paraphernalia.

Miles was transported to the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center where he was booked on several charges including possession with intent to distribute cocaine; firearm in presence of controlled dangerous substances; transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses; possession charges related to hydrocodone (Schedule II), diethylpropion (Schedule IV), marijuana (Schedule I); and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officials have not released further details regarding ongoing aspects or potential additional arrests related to this case.
