House Majority Leader Steve Scalise appeared on Fox Business Network’s Kudlow to discuss the upcoming vote on a significant reconciliation bill aimed at supporting President Trump’s pro-growth agenda. The bill, which includes provisions such as no tax on tips and overtime, is expected to move through the Budget Committee and the Rules Committee before reaching the House Floor next week.

Scalise shared insights into the internal debates that shaped the bill, highlighting an agreement on calculating economic growth at 2.6% for budgeting purposes. He expressed optimism about achieving higher growth due to permanent tax cuts from 2017 and other pro-growth measures.

The timeline for passing the bill involves several steps, starting with a meeting of the Budget Committee on Sunday night. Scalise mentioned ongoing discussions with members who previously opposed the bill and efforts to address their concerns, including work requirements implementation.

“We’re going to get the bill passed,” Scalise stated confidently, outlining plans for it to reach the House Floor by mid-next week. He also noted coordination with Senate leaders to ensure a smooth transition once it passes in the House.

Scalise emphasized that this “one big, beautiful bill” is designed to boost economic growth under President Trump’s leadership.
