In the week ending Feb. 28, one gas station in St. Tammany Parish sold premium gas at the lowest reported price of $2.79 per gallon, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
The county registered an average of $3.29 per gallon for premium gas.
Of the 130 reported gas stations in cities within St. Tammany Parish, 55 offered premium gas.
The average reported price for a gallon of premium gas in Louisiana was $3.24, up from the previous week.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
